VisitBritain Keeps Britain Talking
Keep Britain Talking, the conference and meetings industry’s self promotional campaign, is gathering pace and will coincide with the traditional National Meetings Week (21– 27 September 2009) and Event UK (22 – 23 September 2009).
The campaign focuses on the importance of meetings in effective business and the economic benefit they bring to the UK economy. This includes a ‘Buy British’ philosophy in line with VisitBritain’s national campaign.
“Keep Britain Talking has been a really successful campaign so far that has helped us to communicate with senior government officials across the industry;” comments Joss Croft, campaign coordinator and Head of Business Visits & Events at VisitBritain.
VisitBritain’s involvement has also helped to spread the campaign into the UK. Mirroring campaigns are taking place including; Keep Nottingham Talking, run by Nottingham Conferences, Nottingham Arena and Experience Nottinghamshire; Keep Scotland Talking via Macdonald Hotels & Resorts and the SECC; and a London bus courtesy of Visit London will be touring from the capital to Event UK in Birmingham during the week of the campaign.
