Davies Tanner features in PR Week annual league table for a second year

Davies Tanner has entered the PR Week Top 150 league table for 2010 at number 125, with fee income growing 9% to £1,063,000 breaking the £1m fee barrier for the first time.
The agency’s growth comes at a time when an increasing number of organisations in the business tourism sector are turning to PR as a way to help achieve their objectives and maximise marketing spend.
Managing Director, Robert Wright, said; “Whilst 2009 was a challenging year for most agencies, our performance shows the resilience of the business tourism market, and also the importance that our clients now place on public relations as part of their wider sales and marketing strategies. Our role now is about generating revenue for our clients whilst at the same time increasing their reputation; the two main factors crucial to business success.”
The PR Week annual league table is seen as the definitive and up to date barometer of UK public relations, highlighting the most influential agencies in the market and reflecting the strong performance of the PR sector in marketing communications.
Average growth across all 150 agencies listed was just 0.75%, which whilst reflecting the tough economic climate of 2009, also shows the growing significance of PR in the wider marketing mix.
Davies Tanner is now only one of three agencies to feature in the league table that specialise in travel and tourism, and the only agency to operate in the business tourism sector.
