Business Tourism Manifesto
The first Meetings & Events Manifesto for Britain, created by a dedicated Government Affairs Group within the Business Visits & Events Partnership (BVEP) which included DT’s Managing Director Robert Wright, will be launched to the industry on Tuesday 15th June 2010 at De Vere Venues, Holborn Bars in London.
In a further move we are pleased that another DT client, ICC ExCeL London has been announced as the official Sponsor & Supporter of the 12 page document.
The Manifesto, created after extensive consultation with all major UK industry trade associations and professional bodies, sets out 10 reasons why Meetings & Events are important to Britain, key features on all sectors of the meetings and events industry and its Manifesto Objective; ‘To make Britain the natural destination choice and an international hub for all sectors of the events industry.’
The Manifesto document will be mailed to all MP’s and relevant Government Ministers and Officials early next week and presented again at the House of Commons on 20th October, during National Meetings Week, where all new MP’s are being invited to attend a reception and presentation on the sector.
