Electric Suitcase gears up a notch

Electric Suitcase, the social media arm of Davies Tanner has been lighting up the digital landscape with some innovative social media projects for clients including Top Gear Live and Bath Tourism Plus.
Top Gear Live, a live arena show of the award winning TV programme featuring the famous three, Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond, will hit ExCeL London in November.
Electric Suitcase will provide content for the event's Facebook and Twitter presences, with huge potential fan bases. Content will include exclusive TV adverts and outtakes, celebrity interviews, competitions and previews of exhibits & events. Bath Tourism Plus appointed Electric Suitcase in May to raise the profile of the city. As a result of recent activity, there was an increase of 195% on the previous year in the number of people clicking through to the Visit Bath website from Facebook, and a 334% increase from Twitter.
The campaign has so far included a photography competition, blogging using Facebook notes, as well as daily updates and conversations on Twitter. A Twitrip (a guide to Bath for visitors according to recommendations tweeted to us), video content, which will be added onto Facebook, and a video competition, ‘Bath in 60 seconds’, is planned for the rest of the campaign.
Robin Bischert, chief executive at Bath Tourism Plus said: “With social media continuing to grow at a very fast rate, it’s imperative that Bath has a presence on websites such as Twitter and Facebook. By doing this, we can monitor what is being said about Bath, as well as initiating and contributing to conversations about the city”.
