My second month at davies tanner has absolutely flown by! From research projects, client meetings and trade shows, my time has been productive and busy.

I really feel like part of the davies tanner team. If I have a question or query about anything related and even non-PR related, the team are always happy to help.

I’ve had a few research projects to carry out this month, including prospective clients and many competitor analyses to complete. Having spent three years at university, research is second nature to me. But, because I am still new and learning, the best way to really get to grips with davies tanner’s audience and media is to get stuck into different research projects.

Completing the research means I now fully understand many of our clients competitors, target media and audience giving me a deeper knowledge to meet our clients’ needs and expectations.

A highlight of my second month was attending the SquareMeal Venues + Events Live show which was held at Old Billingsgate in London.

The event was an impressive exhibition filled with interactive and show stopping stands with businesses promoting their events and venue spaces. We visited the Jockey Club Venues London stand where I tried on one of the bespoke hats designed by Julian Garner Headwear.  I had my photo taken with one of the hats on and this was mounted onto a Jockey Club Venues London printed frame.

The day-to-day life at davies tanner is something I look forward to every day.  Especially on Friday when we have Spencer (the Friday office dog) in and Fizz Fridays! However, the atmosphere in the office is one that sadly I think is likely to be hard to find in general, with the perfect balance of work and fun. I’ve been lucky enough to have been a part of many team lunches and activities which has helped to build not just a work relationship but friendships within the team too.
